First time growing baby eggplants and what a success! Now i have to make a video growing the big ones as well :). The flowers are self pollinating but i helped them on the way.
The flowers are self pollinating but i help. Now i have to make a video growing the big ones as well :). For an eggplant to be ripe means it's seeds have matured and by then it's yellow and soft and not good for eating anymore.
Those plants in the picture look great, just make sure they get. Not familiar with burpee eggplants, but i guess they're the standard american type. I only grow japanese and chinese types, the ones that are elongated.
They seem to be ready to pick in. Since getting this one to fruit would probably take a few years i thought i would stop at 4 months. Will put it in a light spot at home and see how big it wi.
