Sonic 4 still is canon. Sonic mania never actually happened in the modern sonic universe because i believe the time eater incident made a new universe out of sonic’s past, considering classic. After a 2 week delay sonic mania comes out for pc and i love this gameget the game here!:
You run and jump through, trying to collect rings and avoid. Even though sonic mania suppose to be after 3, mania is still not canon (yeah i'm one of those) doesn't it directly tie into *forces though? At the good end of sonic.

I feel like sonic mania is the force awakens of the 2d sonic games. It's a really fun game, but i really wish every level in the game was completely unique instead of having remixed stages. Sonic mania is the real sonic 4:

Unless sonic 3 and sonic & knuckles are 1 game, in which case sonic 3 & knuckles is sonic 4. Sonic cd is sonic 2. Just someone who likes the adventure.
Sonic 4 and sonic mania are taking place in the (relatively) same time period. The big kicker is that mania is in a parallel universe. So i've been hearing the phrases the real sonic 4 and the true sonic 4 being carelessly thrown around by critics and the like when referring to sonic man.
