Time stop seemingly gives the user immunity to. This theory also works (with all the info i know at at least) the stands can simply just hold onto the clothing. Jotaro was just flexing on dio by using time stop while dio was too busy ranting to.
Both sp and tw are the same. Meaning sp should also be able to do this. So int theory, jotaro should be able to fly as long as dio is able to do it.
So even if jotaro didnt fly in. Dio was too afraid that jotaro was going to be another jonathan in which he'd win. The magnets that jotaro put on himself and he made dio think that jotaro was.
It's a lot more apparent in the manga. Thanks this cleared up a lot. They don’t fly, it’s them using their stand’s power to push off the ground to propel themselves in the air.
An ability which was most likely discovered after jotaro viewed dio to be flying in unison with the world, this ability also allows jotaro to levitate in place, perfrom incredible. If the hamon/stand theory comes into play, it could mean that jotaro has the potential to weild hamon, yet he doesnt, which is why his stand is so strong. He has the potential to have either.
Jotaro and dio somehow could fly in part 3 apparently. Dio could fly, jotaro just jumped everywhere. You can actually see dio fly when he's at the top of the staircase, he flies off when.
If the stand holds the user then the stand can float off because they'll always be within range of the user. Lol stands float but unless they fly, the user cannot fly. Jotaro can't fly because sp.
